It translates to "Upon Each Soldier We Assurance".
But I think we meant it to mean "In each Knight we trust".

I have been playing with an online translation this morning and not getting exactly what I thought this phrase meant;
In Sulum Miles Militis Nos Fides
Would someone care to translate again for me as I really would like to see how far off I am!
I trust every knight http://www.latinphrasetranslation.com/translators/latin_to_english

In trying to get the translation, without looking through all of our 2008 medallion postings, I came upon duplicate meanings for Miles and Militis as they both mean Knight or Soldier. If I put things together correctly I would get "In Each Knight, Knights We Trust" by the dictionary I was searching in. That would be word for word? If anyone can find a site with a correct explanation I sure would like to have a look at it.
Paint Your Wagon your site is very good but I still, word for word, get a dual answer on Miles and Militis.

Its been close to 30 years since I tried to learn Latin but I don't remember a word for Knight as far as I know it means soldier. I don't think the term knight was around in Roman Times so I assume its ok to substitute the word.

Through the years there must have been changes as the translation now includes soldier, foot soldier and Knight. I am having trouble with the fact two words used on our medallion both show the same definition which would put it as In Each Knight, Knights we trust? That would be using one of the various words used for each Latin word I entered and searched for. Don't get me wrong as I really like the mystery the latin terminology adds to the reverse of the medallions. I am just trying to learn something today and at my age that can be confusing!

As you know my wife has a doctor coming to the house daily for injections His best translation was that Militis is a genetiv possessive word for Miles So it would be In Each Knight's Knight we trust He proposed it was bad latin for a superknight and said he would try and look it up but I doubt he has the time

Thank you Paint Your Wagon as I now know I am not completely crazy! I am still amazed that a doctor will make house calls in Belgium. Sometimes we are lucky to see our doctors in their own offices! Now here is another question this morning! Where is Daniel Carr's logo on our 2009 medallions?

Good point, Terry. It appears that Daniel has omitted it from the design this year.

Yes, or he hid it very well which I suspected at first but after a tremendous amount of looking I can't find one. Was it intentional or an oversight? It Daniel did accidently forget would this make them the FIRST Moonlight Mint error to reach circulation (so to speak)? Perhaps Daniel has new Moonlight Mint logo in mind? Seems we have a new mystery on our hands but, as they say, someone knows!

My medallions turned up today. As usual they are magnificent. I am still partial to the copper antique finish.
A BIG Thank You to all involved.

What has happened to our 'keeper of the records' Received items not being marked off the list. I know she has received her medallions....maybe she is still in shock over the beauty of them!

I hope she has not gone out on STRIKE! But in the event she has I/We are prepared to pay her three times more than what she is making right now! And that is just because we all love her so much! Good help is hard to find you know! Merlin says"She is Dragon Drooling" whatever that is?

I have been trying to track all medallion orders received as I tend to worry a bit from time to time. TS - This might make it easier for you. I'll just use this list to record the Medallion Order PAID status and Received! status. ...PAID status will be updated when Twoshadows notifies me that funds have been received. Received! status will be updated when each Knight posts that their Dragon has landed. 1 tss Twoshadows ...PAID - Received!2 nh7 Nohope587 ...PAID - Received!3 cc2 CoinCrusader42 ...PAID - Received!4 adl AdamL ...PAID- Received!5 hbg humpybong ...PAID- Received!6 eky ElleKitty ...PAID- Received!7 tmb triggersmob ...PAID- Received!8 tbe Tobyle ...PAID- Received!9 ln9 longnine009 ...PAID- Received!10 yas Yass ...PAID- Received!11 tpr templar ...PAID- Received!12 pcs Pocketcoins ...PAID- Received!13 odn OldDan ...PAID- Received!14 nvl Nevol ...PAID- Received! 15 egh Eringobraugh 16 pyw Paint Your Wagon ...PAID- Received! 17 bkm burkeM ...PAID - Received! 18 edx edix ...PAID- Received! 19 tko TKO ...PAID- Received! 20 erk Erik ...PAID- Received! 21 bda Buda...PAID 22 tah tiddyathome...PAID- Received! 23 sap Sap...PAID- Received! 24 mee Muckeye ...PAID 25 thr Topher ...PAID 26 hdg haroldgregg 27 msc Madspec ...PAID - Received! 28 nhl nuggethill...PAID - Received! 29 mky Minky ...PAID- Received! 30 sms Skisnowmass ...PAID- Received! 31 jfy Jeffrey ...PAID - Received! 32 bby Brissyboy ...PAID - Received! 33 sba Snooba ...PAID - Received! 35 mkc mackinac ...PAID - Received! 36 KCS KOTCT Store - Received!
