Hi there,
I received 2 coins from Sweden, dedicated to Royal Wedding there, just a few facts:
Princess Victoria's wedding in June, 19 was  a historical event in Sweden. It is the first time a female heir to the throne has gotten married.

In its history, Sweden has only been ruled by three queens. The last time there was a queen on the throne was almost 300 years ago.

Queen Margaret ruled Sweden between 1389 and 1396 and Queen Christina between 1632 and 1654. The last reigning queen, Ulrika Eleonora, ruled Sweden between 1718 and 1720.

The Central Bank of Sweden  issued an official collector coin in honour of Victoria and Daniel Westling's wedding. The silver coin is worth 300 Swedish Crowns and the gold coin is worth 4,000 Swedish Crowns.

Value   4,000 Crowns
Medal   gold 900/1000
Weight   12.00 g
Diameter   26 mm
Mintage   unlimited
Price   4,000 Crowns

Value   300 Crowns
Metal   silver 925/1000
Weight   27.03 g
Diameter   36 mm
Mintage   unlimited
Price   300 Crowns

Yes, he was her personal fitness trainer.  She was a bit "womanly" for awhile, and got lots of flak in press because of it.  So she hired this guy as fitness trainer, she lose this weight and gain a husband.

I have coins of a couple of the Swedish queens, but my favourite is of Kristina - she was one of the most fascinating monarchs of the 17th century in my opinion.  She gave up her throne, inheritance everything to become a nun in a convent in Italy.  And why is still a mystery.

The Herring craze has come as far as Belgium
Since last week the new herring 2010 arrived
They clean it and then take the small tail end and sweep their head back and let the herring slide down their throat and chase it with jong jenever
( I never tried it ; but marinated in red vinigar from wine and young onions it is quiet
pleasant )

Fresh sold on marketdays and in fresh fish shops

Quote
The herrings are ripened for a couple of days in oak barrels in a salty solution, or brine. The pancreatic enzymes which support the ripening make this version of salt herring especially mild and soft.

This is how I buy it
Peeled haring with onions in vinegar
( It is like rolmops but peeled and no wooden stick)
