There were two 1849 25 cent coins minted by the Netherlands, JAB. Which is it?  The difference is the Monarch pictured on the Obv.

Hmm.. No idea.... I bought it off ebay for a whooping 4 bucks coupled with some pennies.... :S I'll have to wait for the coin in hand as pictures are kinda small... How would I know to differentiate between both? Wither way, they both seem reasonably valuable in even Fine condition!.. Thanks Tracy.. Smiley Will get back to this thread asap when I get the coin... Smiley

How to tell?  Well, there is the numeral in the legend, but the easier way is Willem II is facing left, and Willem III is facing right. Grin
