The price would not suggest that though, right now silver is hovering around €11.38 whilst gold is at €602.00.

I have never been a fan of paper! If I want gold or silver I want it in hand. It will be my decision when I buy, what I buy and when I sell. Can't blame anyone for the outcome other than myself and I like it that way.

There are now a dozen or more ETF's ( exchange traded funds) some are audited some not and who knows they do not use the silver or gold to lease out and shortsell or whether they really have all that silver or gold they say they have .
Also some will only redeem your gold in electronic money and not in the metal itself
Moreover some of these funds pay their managers in gold so the amount goes down 1.5-3% every year . Others get paid other ways .
I want no other paper then goldmines since I cannot store piece of a goldmine in my bankvault  Roll Eyes

The dollar started out as a share of gold in Fort Knox until the dollar became an FRN ( Federal Reserve Note)

Many of us over here used to have a gold mine but when the divorce came SHE got the gold and I got the shaft!!! Grin  I will admit the only paper I have looked at in the last 2 years is gold mines and silver mines but my instincts just have not let me invest in that matter. After getting burnt with my last 401K it is tough buying paper. Too many other folks with their hands in the till!!!

On the investor forum it is no secret that I got a boring policy
I buy and hold and only trade a few times every 107 days since that is my timing cycle like I showed in my charts I think hidden in the canadian coin section cause I do not want any jetowning jockey finding my work for free . Next and maybe last buying op coming in early april

I think that even the worst mines are going to go 400% and hope for 1000% on the best mines
I did tenfold in 1980 but unfortunately not with enough money

I got one third of my retirement money in mines
and this being a forum this is not a recomendation
Anglogold cause I had Freegold and it got bought out
Harmony cause it is a dog undervalued
Durban deep otherwise called Droopy because nobody wants it
Kinross because I had Echo Bay and they bought Echo Bay
Yamana because I had Meridian and they bought Meridian
and Last and not doing anything Tanzanian Royalty from our friend Jim Sinclair cause it has no costs since it is a royalty receiving entity
You see that three out of six allready got bought out at like 15% gain over dayly price so my picks cannot be that bad but I hate
being right and then somebody buys out the company and issues me more expensive stock

To offset the risk of all that electronic ownership  I have my coins in the bankvault .
Paper shares or bonds have become illigal in Belgium because it is too easy to give to children before you die and they allways forget to pay the estate taxes

I think my wife is spending the rest on renovating the house . She spent a whole day deciding what two colors of green she wanted the living room painted in  Grin And decision time does not cost anything . Besides I slipped in a roof repair and window repair to get something out of the whole exercise  Grin

No funds of funds for me
I want my mistakes to be my own mistakes  Roll Eyes
