Age will make the copper in older cents sometimes take on a brown look, but a lot of collectors want red looking coins. I think I read someplace it's the oil from your hands that makes the copper turn brown but am not sure. Myself I like the brown better.

... you're holding a piece of history in your hands and wondering about where that particular coin has been since it was made (not to mention the art work!) !!!    Smiley  Smiley  Smiley
That's why I like the old circulated coins the best. You have some really nice ones Nighthawk.

Just waiting on the how much and will pay-pal you just as soon as I know. You may have already said but I must have missed it.

I like the 1922 10,000 Mark note. Smiley Reckon what they did for a billfold?  Grin

I'm all for a tribute to CoinCrusader and will go along with what ever the rest of the bunch wants to do. The cost of the coin will not make much difference to me. However I don't know just how many of the tribute coins could be sold to folks not on this forum. It might be wise to wait a few days for all of us to excerpt Gary's passing before we decide what we want to do in tribute for him. I hope I haven't hurt anyone's feelings by saying this. It's just sometimes it takes a few days for us to get our head back on straight after such a shock as losing such a good friend.

Nighthawk I'm guilty as charged. I look at your stuff all the time but hardly ever say any thing. Shamey shamey on me. Please don't take me to the wood shed. I like looking at the world notes and have a few but not very many. I mostly have U.S. when it comes to my paper money. Really more of a coin guy though. You have the finest world paper money I've ever seen. I will start commenting on it more.  Grin  Grin

Nice templer, I like paper but never really took the time to get into it like I should. These old bills are really nice pics of art.

How many of you have ever seen one of these?
Note: When you are in the lower level and hear someone
enter the upper level, it's is a  little unnerving to say the least

I have heard of such things but never really believed they actually existed. When some of the folks were going off to the city they would wright back home about having 4 room and a bath, and my dad would say I would rather have my 2 rooms and a path.  Grin

Really nice note. One of my favorite. To bad I don't own one though. I have some large notes but nothing as nice as this one.  Smiley

I would want to stay with the Proof Copper since that would match what I already have.
