Have you heard the interesting news; Chilean Mint misspells the word "CHILE" Smiley

50 Peso coins released in 2008 bear the inscription "Republica De Chiie"

They renewed the website recently, the English part should work soon.
5  Worldwide Coins & Bank Notes / European Coins / Re: Latest releases of the Turkish Mint on: January 20, 2010, 10:50:09 PM
Those two coins are limited editions, 5000 each and I am allowed to buy only 5 of each.

According to the agreement between TR Mint and a German company, the coins were released in Germany last October, and www.pfalzmuenzen.de sells them at 9,5 Euros, I don't know if they have a limit. (http://www.pfalzmuenzen.de/Europa_ohne_GUS/1179_Tuerkei_2009_2_x_1_Lira_BimetallSondermuenzen_Elefant_und_Schildkroete/cda00df53b2d43b86154154df83e1a91/)

The Eagle coin is also a product of such an agreement, I believe a Dutch company.
100.000 of the coins are exported and the domestic strikes are limited to 20.000 pcs.

Barry, check you email;)

None of them are intended for circulation Steve.

The Eagle/Vulture and the Turltle & Elphant coins are intended to draw attention from younger collectors, because they are almost circulation denomination, but they are also collector items, limited strikes.

The second one is the second piece of the "Anatolian Civilizations" set and depicts a couple of artefacts of the Hittite Empire.

The Bulgarian National Bank has announced their latest 2 Lev coin, commemorating 110th birthday of Dechko Uzunov, Bulgarian painter.

The coin is pure Copper (something to do with the financial state of the day? : )

I don't get why the forum resizes the pictures and breaks the links Huh
