Title: Great Australian Collection
Post by: CoinCrusader42 on October 04, 2007, 07:59:59 AM
Thanks to Aussies such as gregk, triggersmob, muckeye and several others, I have increased and improved my Australian coin collection to one I am very pleased with.

Currently my goal is to complete my 50 and 20 Cent Piece collection.  Then, I'll start on other denominations.

So many coins to collect.  So little money to buy them with.

 :) :) :) :)

We are a lucky country with so many coins to purchase for our collections.

Enjoy!

Yes, but someone at the Mint had best get some Mob of Roo dies sculpted and soon as they don't want me coming down there! What does a guy have to do to get a Roo!!!  Still working on my proof Mob or Roo' but have been distracted lately so it lessons the pain! The silver koala's for 2008 are very near so that gives me something to look forward to.

The $1 coins would be a nice addition after the 20 cent and 50 cent coins.  I really need to start filling in the holes in my Aussie collection.

I'll be sure to start with the knights when looking to fill those holes.  I just need to get organized first!  LOL

I'm happy to help with die varieties where I can for any of the Aussie circulation issues. The 20 cents has had a few varieties since 1966.

What are you still missing from these 2 sets?  If they are circulation issues, I may be able to help out.  :)

I collect proof MOB of ROOS and the Australian Mint has failed me miserably the last few years with all those commemoratives. If nothing else they could at least make just ONE each year and send it over to me? (yeah, when pigs fly) Actually that would be a very noble gesture on behalf of the Aussie government for all the stimulating I do for their economy. I may have to write the Queen of Australia a letter on this matter!!! Snooba, are you still the Queen?
I will have to check my dates to see what proofs I still lack but, boy oh boy, those proof Roos really do look purty up here in Indiana! If it has a Roo it belongs in my herd!

Don't forget to feed the Roo's, they also like more of there own.

That's why they are called a Mob of Roo's
