Welcome to a stroll down memory lane...
Looks a lot different, HUH?
Title: Mexico Bi-Metallic Post by: CoinCrusader42 on April 25, 2008, 10:44:24 AM I just reported under "Interesting Finds" the fact that a convenience store clerk gave (traded for a quarter) me a Mexico Five Peso Bi-Metallic coin, 2003.
It's not the first I've seen, since we have taken several trips to Mexico, and I have brought back a bunch of Mexican coins. I have noticed the inner core (copper?) doesn't seem to wear very well, but the outer core (steel?) does wear well. All in all, I think it's an attractive coin. Since I probably have better than 100 of the Mexican coins, I suppose I should look for some kind of folder or album, and start some new collections. Anybody know if there is a company which produces folders or albums for Mexican coins? :) :) :) :) Title: Re: Mexico Bi-Metallic Post by: triggersmob on April 25, 2008, 12:31:00 PM Gary, I can't help you with the albums.
I just wanted to say that Mexican coins are one of my favourites. My collection has 98 coins so far. Title: Re: Mexico Bi-Metallic Post by: ElleKitty on April 25, 2008, 04:03:02 PM The best I can offer anyone interested in Mexican coinage, is getting in touch with my friend Fernando Razo, at mexicancoinclub@yahoo.com . He's always interested in Mexican coins and more specifically, getting more people to collect them. :)
Title: Re: Mexico Bi-Metallic Post by: CoinCrusader42 on April 26, 2008, 03:27:41 AM Steve,
This promise can't be done in the near future, but I will gladly send you my duplicates when I find where I hid them away. :D :D :D :D Title: Re: Mexico Bi-Metallic Post by: triggersmob on April 26, 2008, 07:05:38 AM Thank you, Gary.

Spring is clean-up time around here, and Pat and I are starting with the yards, and then we will move inside and get with it indoors. There are two or three places my Mexican coins might be hiding. I would guess I have probably 100 or so. As stated, I'll mail you the duplicates. It will still be a while, but I'll get it done. :) :) :) :) Title: Re: Mexico Bi-Metallic Post by: triggersmob on May 12, 2008, 05:19:47 PM Thank you, Gary.

Just found a "like new" Mexican 2006 bi-metallic $2 peso in my Bermuda Shorts which I wore in Mexico. Sat it aside for you, and I hope to add to the bi-metallic coins, and will send you all I locate. Gary :) :) :) :) Title: Re: Mexico Bi-Metallic Post by: triggersmob on May 18, 2009, 07:55:32 PM Thanks Gary, much appreciated.
