Hi Nancy,
I received you package with a wonderful selection of Australian predecimal coins. Thanks for your help, my Australian type collection is almost completed, just a few more to go!
I sent a package to you too, I hope, you will receive it soon!

Thanks again,
Marek

Hi Marek,  You're welcome.   ;)  Sorry to have taken so long, have been very busy helping my son in his Pie Shop lately. I can't wait to retire (again!)

It's a "Big Dad's Pies" shop.  ::)

My son bought the franchise last June, and since Oct-Nov, business has been terrible.  Sales are only around 50-60% of what they used to be.
He put it back on the market just before the economy went belly up:  http://www.commercialrealestate.com.au/299950

I was helping out 7 days a week, but have cut it back to 4, putting in approx 25 hrs per week gratis.
For a while when he was training new staff, I was doing 60 hrs P/Wk.
Weekend wages are a killer, Time & a Half on Sat, Double time on Sun & Double Time & a Half for Public Holidays.
I don't know how any small business manages to employ anyone!  ??? ::)

I get quite a few Coins & Notes from the till, but of course I have to replace what I take out.   :(
I've never been much into Notes, but now have a lot of First Sheet, Last Sheet & even a few RADAR's.  ;D

I can't wait to get my life back.

I work a second job in security. When I joined the company, I was offered an AWA (Australian Workplace Agreement). It specified a hourly rate, and rates for weekend and public holidays.  The rates were certainly nor time&half, et al.  The AWA allows me to be employed for as many hours of the week as are available, and agreed to by me.  At this point of time I work 59 extra hours a week (on top of a full time job).  My agreement is in place for another 3 years.

The new Rudd labor government has banned AWAs. Everything is now based upon penalty rates.  This means that new starters won't be employed over the 35(?) hours per week, because they then automatically go on to penalty rates.  Effectively the company now limits the hours of staff.  In 3 years time, I will automatically lose over 20 hours of work per week.  Well done unions. Well done Rudd.

Small business is the loser. Workers are the losers.  ??? ???

I too need to get a life LOL  ;D ;D

They'd be a bit on the nose by the time they got to WA! What a pong!  ???  The poor old Postie would need a gas mask!  ;D
