2001 Netherlands 50 Euro cents, found in the till today. It could just about pass as a $1 coin.
Also found a 1983 New Zealand 20 cent in the till, yesterday.

Found a 1995 Hong Kong 20c piece under a bench at the bus station. I hear in Hong Kong there is no such thing as social welfare, "market sensitive" vehicles--(corporate welfare) or even  Jerry Springer.  I'm carrying this sucker in my wallet as the bright omen.  Cool

1967 Washington Quarter.

No big deal, but I keep our kids birth year coins, to give to them, and 1967 is when our oldest son was born.

As I put the quarter aside, I noticed the edge was smooth.  That suggests it spent some time in Reno or Las Vegas going through slot machines.

I found a 1996 Panama Centisimo--exactly same size/weight as our Cu/Zn Lincoln cents.
I believe this one was struck by the RCM on the same stock used on those Canada Cu/Zn cents.

Even with my poor eyesight, this coin looks like it's from The Netherlands.  1 Cent.  1919.  Not sure what beast is on the obverse.  Lion?  Dragon?  Anyone help?

Found on the floor and given to me by my wife.  Neither of us have any idea where it came from.

The Dutch coat of arms shows a crowned lion holding a sword and clutch of arrows.

More strarge stuff turning up tonight.

Evidentally from a Mexico trip.  Dug down deep in an old camera bag, and here's what I found.

6 20 Veinte Peso Notes, Pristine except for one fold down the middle, 50 Cincuenta Pesos Note, Perfect except for fold down the middle.

Also BU Texas Quarter, P. AU. I can see no marks on it.

I have a second old camera bag I'll look through tomorrow.

Just went through my second camera bag, and came up with two little goodies.

One Pfennig.  Germany.  1975.

1000 Peso Banknote.  Chile.  2006.

Wow! Shocked That's a nice spread of dates for bank boxes, including a few earlier Canadian cents.

Went to the bank today after work and picked up $100.00 in halves. Found: 1964 (1), 1967 (1), 1968-D (4), 1969-D (1). The '67 is AU+, the rest average circulated, but decent! Grin

I started this thread on other coin forms, and checking on one of those tonight I found it had just had "read" number 70,000.

Wonder if this one will attract that many viewers over time.

I can't claim these as personal finds, but they are really something.

I was in my favorite convenience store today, and the clerk showed me two coins she had pulled from the cash register.  She found them a couple days apart.

Both appeared to be almost uncirculated.  A 1943-S Mercury Dime, and a 1935-D Buffalo Nickel.

Do you suppose things are becoming so financially tough that people would spend coins like that?
