We have had 3 PNC (Philatelic Numismatic Cover) releases so far this year.  As a collector of PNC's I thought you may like to have a look at them.

Knights should always be involved in good deeds
Here is the question

Is there a knight  that is reading this thread that does not collect PNCs?
but is interested in them?

If you are such a person post your name in this thread

and one of you will be selected at random
(on 29 March 2010)
to receive one of the PNCs shown above.

No cost and I pay the postage.

so that leaves out the rest of you mob who already said you have one or bought one.  ;D

OK my name is Stephen Trigg .

Richard, I have never bought a PNC, although I do collect both coins and stamps.
I guess I have just never really got into them and thought about how to store them.

Thanks for the generous offer. :)

Well, I'm definitely not eligible as I do have quite a few, but I stopped collecting them a couple years ago.  ::)

It became too much hassle to try to figure out which ones to go for and which ones to leave, so I decided to leave the lot!

One Knights Creed
Quote
To dream ... the impossible dream ...
To fight ... the unbeatable foe ...
To bear ... with unbearable sorrow ...
To run ... where the brave dare not go ...
To right ... the unrightable wrong ...
To love ... pure and chaste from afar ...
To try ... when your arms are too weary ...
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

This is my quest, to follow that star ...
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far ...
To fight for the right, without question or pause ...
To be willing to march into Hell, for a Heavenly cause ...

And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest,
That my heart will lie will lie peaceful and calm,
when I'm laid to my rest ...
And the world will be better for this:
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

Last time my neighbor complained was when I played the impossible dream a few dozen times ( I have a set of earphones now )

I have bought the film Man of la Mancha ( a musical that did not make it really)

He (Don Quichote alias Peter O' Toole ) sings the song whilst standing vigil thru the night to be knighted in the morning . He is holding a broken lance bound together in the middle and on his head he wears a barber' shaving basin . And then he sings the song with that thin quivering voice , somehow befitting the situation .

Just won this 2009 PNC in a New Zealand Auction (Trade Me).......

Here is the description from Trade Me:

On 1st Sept 1969 Nuphil Associates Ltd of Christchurch produced their noted Yarralumla PNC containing the 1969 Australian 12-sided 50c coin.
Specimens of this 1969 cover regularly reach prices of $A800 to $A900 whenever they appear in auctions. Very recently one of these PNCs was sold on Trade Me for $A1675.
To mark the 40th Anniversary of the release of the Yarralumla PNC Pa-iNC
Covers of Sydney, who specialize in PNC, have issued the cover offered here in a Limited Edition of 100 only.
By a very lucky coincidence the 2009 Australian 50c coin (chosen for this PNC) commemorates the 40th Anniversary of the Landing on the Moon, and as will be seen from the scans, great care has been taken by the designers to incorporate, in their cover, the design of the original Yarralumla PNC. In addition Yarralumla, ACT, was again used as the Post Office for stamping and stamps showing 2 Australian Flowers were affixed. As the cover shown in the scan has been sold another (#092) is offered here.

Hope this one increases in value like the original Yarralumla PNC.

Very nice looking cover, Barry.
Should have good investment potential with only 100 copies available.

Those Governor Macs grew wings and flew  :-[

One just flew in my door today.

Thanks very much Richard, much appreciated.
Now do I store it with my coins or with my stamps, Oh the dilemma!
The coin has a P mint mark, so it has been right around the world and back home again.

Glad it made it back home safely.
I keep mine separate from the coins and the stamps.
This may not be the rarest or most significant PNC but now you have been bitten by the bug,
We will see if you need further assistance to treat this dreaded PNC collecting disease.
