Some of you may remember me posting back on CCF , about going to Campbell Barracks in Perth for the release of the SAS $1 coin. That was in March. Well a couple of days ago I saw a similar coin on E-bay sell for $510. It only cost me $80. Not a bad return in just 7 months. I wonder what it will be worth in a couple of years.  Did anyone else buy one of these?
Here is the coin....

Yes, I got one when they were first released, and I love it. Do you know if the one you saw on ebay the regular packaging or one of the presentation packs?

It was the one in the standard presentation box, not the limited edition one for the SAS soldiers.

I love it when things go right with a purhase and hate it because I don't have one! Really good to see someone on the "winning" end of things for a change! And, don't forget....FREE storage in Indiana for all your valuable coins!!!

TKO-100 will be gald to store them for you!

Will be interesting to see what the CV is listed as in the 15th edition McDonalds catalogue which is due out before the end of the year. I was surprised the Perth Mint had such a low mintage (7500) for this coin.
Twoshadows, I'll keep your offer for storage in mind - at the moment I don't have a problem.

Here's the link to the Perth Mint.  Cheesy I got one at issue and paid $20 extra at a dealer, only to find that my regular Post Office had them a issue.  Angry
