The Perth Mint has now followed through with a gilded version of the Koala.

The Perth Mint has come up with a coloured silver proof version. Actually, I think I like the RAM one better - though I guess a lot of the coins do look different when you see the real thing rather than a picture.

Love your collection, Nighthawk. Have been collecting world polymer notes for a while (well, not that long), but more recently ventured on to collecting world paper notes - never realized before just how beautiful and interesting from an historical perspective some of them are.

I just purchased a set of 1c - 25 cent coins (years ranging from 1975 - 1980) - from Commonwealth of the Bahamas - beautiful. Though got to admit - they would look much nicer if they were sitting next to that $2 coin above! 

Having only been collecting for a few years at this point, I only have 2 'established' collections -

1. Australia and
2. NZ

but, gradually building up into a presentable collection are:

3. US, and to a lesser extent,
4. Canada and
5. Great Britain

also working on a collection of

6. World Banknotes and my ultimate dream, would be to have
7. At least one coin from every country, continent etc etc listed in Krause catalogue!

I think I'll be dreaming for a long time yet! (only got about 99% to go)

ElleKitty, the regular MM coins are usually quite plentiful. I'll be reserving some from my local dealer, so don't panic if you miss out on Downie's stock - I'll make sure I get some spares.
