Nice coin Richard! However I don't see it listed as an F.A.O. coin type in Krause. Here's a pic of my coin

Krause does not list all the FAO coins. Got mine from a late FAO coin collector who I trusted to know what he was talking about. But hey I have been known to accept bad info before.

I do look. Been looking for a somewhat uncommon FAO coin to share. Saw this one last night on my Omnicoin account- St. Tome e Principe. Rotten picture, nice coin.

Richard, I looked at the links you posted, and they list quite a few F.A.O. coins for Botswana. But looking in all 3 Krause catalogs that I own (1983, 2004, 2009) there is nothing in their descriptions indicating that the coins are F.A.O. issues. Most F.A.O. coins will say " F.A.O.", or "World Food Day", or "Food For All" or something of the kind on the coin. The nearest thing I see to an F.A.O. coin is the 2 Thebe, 1981 & 1985 KM# 14, where the description says "World Food Day". I dunno. Maybe your friend was right, and Krause does not have enough info in their descriptions. The pictures' fine Miss Kitty! Nice coin too!

Reverses of Haiti, 20 Centimes & 50 Centimes, 1972, KM# 100 & 101 respectively. (The 50 Centimes would also qualify as a one year type!)
