Unfortunately there are would be collector idiots that are buying fake 1 DM pieces all the time . I use now a search filter that is so long with the string of exclusions of crap that IE refuses to save it as a bookmark And even so I get 5000 hits on ebay germany still full of crap since they change the names all the time |

I would say there is perhaps 40% good stuff on eBay gold, and the rest is a bunch of mini, replica, crap, etc. I have -mini -replica -tribute filters now.

Ebay germany has again more then 6000 pieces of which 90% I do not even want to see
My filter is
gold -mini -bar -nuggets -small -1865 -adams -united -buren -maximillian -presidential -vatikan
and I should add *nugget* and folder but I allready ran out of space since IE7 refuses to save this string

Tragic Anythink below MS64 is a Near Miss Me and my friend the coindealer have our own classification system but it is largely unpublishable Like cherry unpicked immensly fxxxxble that would be MS65 or better Unfingered desirable MS64 Rouged whxxxx ( they use a spinning brush and rouge to buff the coins which after several years result in an unnatural reddish color) Anyways I am now stalking Brittania herself |

I had the first design of the Marianne in silver and just got it in gold
Ebay buyers are so confused they do not know what to do at todays prices
It makes it easy for me ; I want to finish my program and this is one coin less on the program
Just a few more coins ( like in just a few more hours from Doolitle in the film My Fair Lady )

I have noticed, if the coins were left in thier original packaging they toned very quickly. Certainly not my favorite coin but still a unique holding even if it is now worthless? |
