The hardest part of the sculpting is done.   Here is the digital "clay" sculpture in progress:

Technically, in my design she isn't a "dragonslayer", but rather a friend of the dragon.

PS: That's not a dragon.   That's a serpent.   Don't you know the difference

Step 1:
Convert scanned drawing into surface (dark lines on drawing become guideline grooves in surface).
Step 2:
Modify lines before beginning 3-D embossing:

The shoulders are too wide, the neck is too wide, and the knee caps are off.
All would be corrected during sculpting.   This was a fast concept sketch.

I did not use any models or use any pictures when I did the drawing.   I just drew it out of my head (while watching football), not thinking of anyone in particular.   Same as last year (except I did look at a few lion pictures for that one).

FINALLY, I have a little time to work on this.   Did this sketch during the football game today:

I hope to begin some design work on this soon.
I believe the subject matter for this year's obverse will have a Dragon as the main feature.
The reverse will be the same as last year.
