Great set of coins, I especially like the painted coins(which I do not usually like) they really set them off.

Can you imagine the confusion in the US if there were that many dollar coins each year, I guess that starting in 2009 there will be 8 for us though, 4 presidents and 4 Sacs.

Both are great coins for their age.  I haven't gotten any of the ancient coins yet but I love reading about them.

Don't worry kitty the mint knows just what they are doing, getting most of our money.

I have never had any luck with the Coinstar machines.  I keep checking but I guess someone beats me to the goodies.

I have handled a lot of Kennedy's and never saw one like you describe.  I will have to go back through the Half dollar safe and check to see if I can find any.

I get the mint and proof sets each year, I have proof sets from 1955 to present and mint sets from 1959 to present.
Some go up and a few go down.

A beauty of a set.  Guess I know which coins I will try to get next.

You people are killing me with the great coins that I don't have, at least killing my wallet.

The worth is in the beholder, what may not be worth much to one is a treasure to another.

I would love to find such a bill for face.

scottishmoney,

Going back to the biographies I have read about Jefferson, I think the wife was quite attractive, at least by standards of the day.

 Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

From her Biography ---Family tradition says that she was accomplished and beautiful--with slender figure, hazel eyes, and auburn hair--and wooed by many.

So she must have been a good looking woman for that era.
