Welcome to a stroll down memory lane... Looks a lot different, HUH?

Title: Album Question
Post by: arthrene on April 22, 2008, 04:23:23 AM
I am looking into getting Dansco albums so that I can start getting serious with collecting Australian coins. Dansco makes an album (7335) for Aussie 1-2 cent. Does that mean that because the 1 and 2 cents are the same size both will fit in the album or does the album have spots for both the 1 and 2 cent coins for each year? Thanks for the help.

You will find that if it is for both 1 cents and 2 cents that they will have a spot for both coins as they are different sizes. They two cent is almost twice as big as a one cent coin. If you need help with any dates let me know ;)

I've found a place to purchase them online. The only problem is that it only gives me a cover shot. I have no idea what dates or how many slots are on the pages.

Hi Arthrene,
I have one here - it has 4 'pages'.

Pages 1 and 2 to fit the 1 cent coins; pages 3 and 4 for the 2 cent coins.

Page 1 has 16 (labelled) slots for 1c pieces from 1966 to 1981
Page 2  is labelled from 1982 to 1991 with an extra 6 unlabelled slots.

Page 3 and 4 are the same but with larger slots to fit the 2 cent pieces.

hope that makes sense!
Anna

I have Dansco Albums for all of Australia's decimal coins, except for the $1 coins, and it's on back order.

They are very nice albums.

Thanks! I just needed to know whether to order one album or two. Now I won't end up with an extra.
