At the Boryspil airport in Kyiv I found a 1964 USA cent, a 2008 British Penny, a 2009 Russian 50 Kopek, and four one kopek Ukrainian coins on the floor at various places while walking around while I was waiting for someone to come in from Paris.

Canadian coins of most types are as common here in Michigan as US coins! If anyone wants modern Canadian stuff, I'm the one you want to ask. I've got plenty!

I even got a 1928 GV cent in a roll search late last year. My earliest finds in cents were two 1909's last year, one fairly well worn, but the other was a fairly decent fine 1909 VDB reverse.

I'll have to do some work on my Canadian collection & see what I need! I'm nearly done working on my US coins, just a few loose ones to enter in my spreadsheet. My main problem is I keep finding coins in safe places, where I've stashed them & promptly forgotten them.

I have a Whitman Canadian Cent folder. Found it down deep in a storage container. The excitement I felt years ago for Canadian coins started to come back with the discovery of the 1940 penny. My thought at this time is that I will work on the folder in partnership with the two grandkids who are also members of KOTCT. So, I would be most interested in trading with Nighthawk, or any member who has access to Canadian cents. If trades aren't available, I would appreciate the opportunity to buy some. I looked at the folder and found it contained only five coins, so we are starting from scratch.

I started to collect U S coins many snows ago. Then, living in Illinois at the time, an aunt gave me some unc Canadian coinage 2x (1c-25c) that she picked up at the Canadian mint (in the 1930s). I started collecting the Canadian along with my U S coins. Sure enough, some collecting buddies used to say, "Why do you want to collect THAT stuff?" And lo these many decades, I believe it is evident now.

Today, while working at the local hospital gift shop, I sorted through about $300 worth of nickels, dimes, and quarters. I didn't find anything fabulous, but did find some interesting coins, including: Three BU Westward Movement nickels Date of birth coins of our kids (1967, 1971, 1973) Four D.C. Quarters One Puerto Rico Quarter Four Bi-Centennial Quarters Three Delaware Quarters, BU

Yesterday I found 9 coins on the ground, including a 10 kopek and a 25 kopek. The rest were 1 kopek coins that make up most of my finds anyway.

1983 Canadian Penny. I only find about two per year. Since my grandkids and I are trying to collect them, we were happy to find this one.

I found an Uncirculated 1998 Howard Florey "c" mintmark $1 in the chocolate box. It is a beautiful coin that stood out like the proverbial. There are two benefits to this find (a) I have a nice shiney NCLT coin, and (b) I didn't buy a chocolate which keeps my sugar level down for just that little bit longer.
