John Tyler Dollar, AU.

Interesting because I live in Colorado, and the coin is a Philadelphia mint.

Another day volunteering at the loacal hosapital gift shop.

Pretty disappointing.

None of the new quarters.  None of the new pennies.

I did find

1.  A war nickel
2.  BU Rhode Island Quarter
3.  Half dozen BU 2008 cents
4.  1981 AU Jefferson Nickel
5.  Smooth cent planchet

Gift shop again.

Of all the Statehood Quarters I went through, the most numerous was the first one -- Deleware.

Found one bright and shiny Guam Quarter.

1927 LC, barely readable date.

Sort of found in circulation -- in the bottom of a desk drawer while searching for something else.

Yesterday was my day to work at our hospital gift shop.  During free time I looked through a bunch of quarters.

I found Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, and Samoa -- all BU.

Of interest, I found many 1999 quarters, especially Delaware, in BU.  Conclusion:  The economy is tough on people, and the saved quarters are being spent.

I am guilty also.  Took about 100 saved quarters and put them in my "vacation bottle" in preparation for a little trek later this month.

You're right C C! I've noticed an large influx of the early state quarters in AU at the least. I never collected them, but am now saving them to give to some of my grandkids.

Goose,

Let me know if you have difficulty finding any particular quarters.  I have duplicates of most all of them.

Thanks for the offer C C. In about a month I'll begin to sort my state quarters out.....I'm quite busy now, hunting, metal detecting, cleaning out an 80 yr old house that is 500 miles from where I live, and assorted family get togethers.

Our 6,100 mile road trip was mainly on the eastern side of the Mississippi.  So, I stocked up on "P" mint coins.

Not only saw the Philly mint, but picked up lots of "P" mints to bring home.
