I have slowly been accumulating banknotes over the years, but have successfully managed to avoid the urge to collect them. Thanks to you guys, I am being drawn into the ranks of note colllectors. Lately I have received notes from Nighthawk (posted elsewhere), Nohope and Humpybong. Is this a plot to suck me in. LOL
Thanks to you all, now here are some pics and questions....(any info much appreciated)

Firstly, what country was this used in?

Nice to see another convert. I'm trying to get 2 collections together - 1 for my nephew and 1 for myself. Still got a very long way to go as my aim is to secure 1 note from every country for myself as well as a decent collection for Jamie to spark enough interest for him as soon as he is old enough to continue the collection for himself.

BTW - Love the notes you've got there too.

Tobyle, let me pass the generosity forward.
Check out my colllection here...http://www.coincommunity.org/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=415
If there are any there that you don't have, let me know and I will check to see if I have spares.

I put my notes in either a small, medium, or large plastic sleeve, depending on the size of the note, and also affix some type of information label to it, as shown in my example here. I then store my notes by country, alphabetically, and then each individual country is organized by Pick #'s. You can use a shoebox or other type of storage unit to house your notes in.  I found a couple dozen boxes a few years ago that someone had thrown away, which measure about 10" X 10" X 5" deep, and they are PERFECT for storing all but the biggest horseblankets. 99.9% of my paper money collection is stored this way. A box of 100 plastic sleeves cost about $20-$25. Another way to store your notes is plastic pocket pages made for standard 3 ring binders. Pages come in 3-pocket or 4-pocket sizes. But you cannot store many super-large notes that way, so I don't use them anymore. I really don't know of any other way to store them!   Smiley

Hey Triggersmob - checked out your collection - not bad for someone who has only recently become 'hooked'. Except for the Aussie ones, don't think I have any of those in your collection as yet, except maybe for 1 or 2. Will hopefully get to check through mine later today.
