Hi all, just trying to get the old gears upstairs turning to try to come up with some ideas for a few good threads. We have the thread covering circulation finds, and that's always a fun read, so I thought I would start a thread where we can "brag" about our cherrypicks. I have quite a few that I have uncovered in my 10 years or so in the hobby, some that I have had for some time but only recently discovered. I'll get us started...

I picked up this little fella at a local auction in may of this year. Found it nestled in a roll of circulated Buffalo nickels that I won for $18.00 (that's $0.45 per coin Wink)

1938 D/S in Very Fine. November CDN Ask, $9.00. Not too bad for 45 cents, eh? Grin

 Cheesy

Dear Ndgoflo:
Good coins for a cheap price.   What are the dates and mint marks, please??
I have completed Buffalo Nickels Set.
But I want to upgrade some of them.
Your photos are excellent.
Wish you and family a Merry Christmas
Sincerely
George/India

By coincidence, this is the second one of these I have bought withing a week.

I looked through several, and picked this one, without benefit of a Red Book.

I think it is a good deal, but not sure.  Anyway, I liked it.

1906 IHC.  Uncirculated.  $15.

Feel free to send all buffalos to my address here in Indiana. Nothing like putting your bulls in a good home with tender loving care! Good find ndgoflo. But it does remind me of the couple of 1918D 8/7's that I managed to let slip away a few years ago! I know I had them but quite honestly think they ended up in my lower grade pile and I gave them to kids in Greensburg in an effort to get them interested in coin collecting. Not the first mistake I ever made and probably won't be the last. Now excuse me while I go sit in the corner and cry!

Terry, your honesty and humility have earned you a Knightly credit.
On your way to the corner you may collect a large Mead.
To be finished before leaving the corner.
