THE PRICE OF SILVER WENT OVER $43. YESTERDAY  ??? ??? ???
YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU SHOULD BUY SILVER OR SELL SILVER-------I BOUGHT 12 WALKING LIBERTY HALVES FOR $165 ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO---YESTERDAY THOSE 12 COINS WERE WORTH $186.93...FOR A PROFIT OF ALMOST $22.................I HAVE A VARIETY OF SILVER COINS BUT I DECIDED TO CHART THREE GROUPS----90 1/2 DOLLARS........112 MIXED DIMES....AND 100 ROOSEVELT DIMES TO SEE HOW SILVER HAS CHANGED OVER THE PAST MONTH OR TWO.........
0N MARCH 21,2011---I HAD A TOTAL OF $1729.41 THEN AND YESTERDAY THE TOTAL WAS $2062.17
FOR A DIFFERENCE OF $332.76
NOW I REALIZE THAT SOME STOCKS AND OTHER INVESTMENTS ARE IMPROVING BUT RIGHT NOW IT SEEMS THAT SILVER IS THE ONE TO GET INVOLED WITH.......IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A LITTLE FUN AND IMPROVE YOUR ECONOMIC KNOWLEDGE----SELECT SOME OF YOR SILVER COINS AND CHART THEM OVER A PERIOD OF TIME AND KEEP TRACK OF YOUR GAINS AND LOSES
KITCO.COM GIVES YOU A GOOD LOOK AT A VRIETY OF METALS AND HOURLY COST CHANGES
IT HAS BEEN VERY INTERESTING ANS SO FAR PROFITABLE

I have a number of silver pieces.  Prefer silver to gold.

Like the colour better, there are some who would disagree.

I bought 256 oz of silver late last year and at the same time I added up all the silver in my collection,
it came to a total of 62.57 oz.
This is the movement on those 62.57 oz since 5th Sept 2010.

05/09/2010   USD$19.50     $1220.11
16/10/2010   USD$24.32     $1521.70
05/11/2010   USD$26.35     $1648.72
07/12/2010   USD$30.43     $1904.00
02/03/2011   USD$34.88     $2182.44
09/03/2011   USD$36.36     $2275.04
26/03/2011   USD$37.32     $2335.11
08/04/2011   USD$40.93     $2560.99
15/05/2011   USD$43.05     $2693.64

More than doubled,
I'm happy.
Just got to hope it keeps going.
Now if the Aussie dollar drops back to 80c against the green back, even better.

Silver has done well. I've been a silver nut for many decades and have hoarded silver when it was still in circulation. My wedding band is white gold because I didn't like the gold color. Now I'm not against gold, I have some, but silver being a 'poor man's gold', is affordable to all to add to their accumulation.

I purchased a new S U V a yr ago. 'Somehow', while the papers were being filled out, the discussion turned to COINS. The saleman then mentioned that his folks left him 'a ton of coins'......."....old dimes, quarters, halves, and around 20 silver dollars". Well, after a year, I get a call from him asking me to evaluate those coins and that he wondered if I wanted them. I'll be meeting him this coming Wednesday night at the auto dealership after 5PM. Silver coins are now worth 31 times their face value. Approx. how much should I offer the guy times face value? The way he talked, he has around $150 face value. I'm talking about a fair value for both of us.

One of my early purchases when I started on my coin collection was the 'Evolution' series from the Perth Mint.
The set consisted of 5 x 10 ounce coins. Finally there are worth more than what I paid for them.
