Anytime you can pick up a piece of the past, that is no longer in production, it is worth something and at face value there is no way you can lose! Looks like to me, at this present time, the whole state of Colorado is filled with luck!!!

And ALWAYS keep in mind the free storage service I offer right here in Indiana!!! Grin

What was I thinking? Guess I didn't realize that gold was in the mix! Precious metals will always be my favorite but the old notes do stir desires when I admire them and now Scottishmoney has kindled a fire for the "beauties" of the world! It is almost overwhelming!

By golly I do have an Aussie $5 coin as the USS Houston is in my collection. The sad part is I can't remember who I was trading with at the time when I received it? None the less it is here! Of course I have the Australian Tri-metallic that sure puts a sparkle in my eye everytime I look at it!

bm1947 I have friends in crawl spaces!!! I have friends that are so low when they look up they still see dirt! Great to have friends in all places! Nothing like starting a "herd" of Koala's here in th midwest!!!

I don't think there is any danger of 2007 proof sets dropping in prices any time soon as they will forever be known as the largest proof set ever minted by the U.S. Mint and the First Year of Issue for the Presidential Dollars. It would be best if you go ahead and get them now in my humble opinion. The 1999 silver proof sets have ran in the $300  range for months now and I don't see much of a break on those due to the fact it was the First Year of Issue for the Statehood Quarters!

Arrangements have been made for the 2008 silver ounce and half ounce Koala's to live in Indiana!!!! The 2008 design is much better than the first year of issue and, if Australia plays their card's right, they might just give the Panda a run for their money?

Well if that just isn't the "cat's" meow!!! Congrats on finishing a set as it is a very rewarding feeling to start something and see the end JUST KNOWING you now have to start another set!

I claim the rights to all one hundred dollar notes and I want them sent back to me IMMEDIATELY!!!

Guess I will have to get on the Aussie Ebay and find one of those dollars that have been busted out of the proof set! Darn photos! All they do is kill my budget!!!

Old Dan I wouldn't bank on that one! Probably if the truth was known whoever had the darn thing looked at it and saw how butt ugly it was so they ran out and spent it! They look like play money to me and are nothing more than cheap renditions of the U.S. Mints Presidential medal program.

Now I would like to see some Sackies circulate but I hate to drive to Ecuador to see them!

Just to show how good of sports we are you can have New York City! Please come and get the whole kit and kabooddle as soon as possible. Your population will almost double, the government will increase the tax rolls and you will have enough taxi cabs to last a life time and we know you have the space for them right in the center of your country! Its all free, just come and get it!

Yup, 4 years on the square kookaburra!!! Aprreciate your offer but really think the koalas will already be living in Indiana before December. At least thats my plans as the full ounce should be here within the next week or so!
690  Worldwide Coins & Bank Notes / Australian Coins / 2008 silver 1/2 ounce Koala on: October 12, 2007, 06:14:16 AM
I would appreciate one of you Aussies getting me some info on the 2008 1/2 ounce silver Koala's. I need to know when they will be released and the cost. For some reason or another I am attracted to 1/2 ounce bullion and all I can figure is there are not many countries striking them. Canada did the wolf last year and then halted the very successful program thus making a one year issue and creating demand. I have the square kookaburras from all 4 years and actually only need one more for to complete a second set! Oh yeah, I am attracted to square coins too! You might consider the HUGE sacrifice I had to make to put the 2006 Poland SQUARE Knight coin in the Pet Set Excaliber!!!

I am willing to work out a trade deal for the 1/2 ouncers if anyone way down there needs something from way up here!
