Thousands of people hoarded away U.S. BiCentennial coins, thinking they would become valuable.

The quarter and the half didn't.

However I have an IKE 1976, in BU.

Considering the coins' condition, the event which prompted it, and the fact the series was short-lived, might this coin eventually be of some value?

The trouble with Ikes is they just don't seem to have much potential for grading constructs.

Perhaps some day, when grading becomes the tool  of coin collecting again rather than it's master,  people might be able to appreciate ole Ike and his era.  Until then:

 Cheesy

The Bicentenial Ike coins, certainly have value.   No doubt in it.
A big crown with landing on the moon.

I salute this President Ike, who predicted the down fall of U.S.S.R and Berlin wall by saying  'THOSE COUNTRIES, WHICH DO NOT HAVE FAITH IN GOD, WILL FALL/DESTROY THEMSELVES' or similar to this.   His words have become true.

I never expected to see a United Germany and fall of Berlin Wall.
