I received my 2008 Statehood Quarters Proof Set in the mail today, and they are beautiful coins.

I would predict that Alaska will become a favorite with collectors, and Oklahoma and Arizona will also be found to be pleasing.

Was not too thrilled with New Mexico, and haven't really made up my mind about Hawaii as yet.

As far as the 2008 proofs being "pretty," they all are.  Regarding themes, my vote would go to Alaska.

Boy, I'll bet triggersmob is going to give me a hard time.

He has urged me to learn how to post pictures, and I think I even have the instructions.

As an excuse, at least for the last few days, I've been on an 800 mile round trip to cover high school state wrestling for my newspaper.  Seems like I am more busy than when I was teaching.

I would truly like to share the set with you.  As mentioned, some of the new quarters are beautiful.

I would even predict that one or two will be among the best of the 50 in many people's opinions.

So, forgive me.  I really will learn to post pictures.  Honest.

I like it OldDan. Not sure it's a good idea though. Where are all you Americans going to live when the Mexicans take over your country? LOL

If I were 40 years younger,  I would be your next door neighbor in a wink.

And you would be most welcome. As a matter of fact the house next door is up for sale, $569,000 if your interested. LOL
