31  Worldwide Coins & Bank Notes / Australian Coins / Re: Inventory on: November 20, 2007, 05:25:04 AM
Do I start now with the 14th edition of Maccas
or wait until the 15th comes out?

Once upon a time  (good start for a Knights forum)
Bigfella developed a spread sheet of Australian Coins.

with his permission I updated it and it is available for free downloading on my website.

It has been a few years since I have updated it.

QUESTION- should I take the time over the holiday season to update it and keep it going?

or is there a better product that I should make available for free on my site.

or are one you in a position to spend the time upgrading the spreadsheets?

There was a special album designed for this set.
so mine is in the special album in the Mint cards
It is a nice piece for showing.

I use it with each youth & scout group I visit with.

35  Worldwide Coins & Bank Notes / U.S. Bank Notes / I got fooled on: November 09, 2007, 08:32:58 AM
I was visiting an office yesterday and when I came out
I saw one hundred bills stuck into the drivers window of each car in the lot-
Of course it intrigued me so I went and Had a look at mine.
I found it so humorous that I found the gal who was putting them there and asked her for a half dozen

the picture below does not show the detail I would like - but on first glance it looks real until you open the folded note- the note is the exact size of what a folded note would be.

I have pictured the folded note the obverse and the reverse
Great marketing gimmick

For those who are interested in the PNCs.
Australian Post offers subscriptions.

although I occasionally buy some from Bigfella and others,
I always receive my PNCs directly from Australia Post-
It is just that I usually receive them about 6weeks after issue and I am always waiting to check that they arrive.

Here is the information on the new five dollar note to be released in January
http://www.moneyfactory.gov/newmoney/main.cfm/currency/new5

I already have the printed handouts and they are very informative.

Three inch binders?

Be grateful you do not collect the Australian  PNCs-

I have mine in a five (5) inch binder and I am starting my second one.
