Glad it made it back home safely.
I keep mine separate from the coins and the stamps.
This may not be the rarest or most significant PNC but now you have been bitten by the bug,
We will see if you need further assistance to treat this dreaded PNC collecting disease.

He is OK now

One Knights Creed
Quote
To dream ... the impossible dream ...
To fight ... the unbeatable foe ...
To bear ... with unbearable sorrow ...
To run ... where the brave dare not go ...
To right ... the unrightable wrong ...
To love ... pure and chaste from afar ...
To try ... when your arms are too weary ...
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

This is my quest, to follow that star ...
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far ...
To fight for the right, without question or pause ...
To be willing to march into Hell, for a Heavenly cause ...

And I know if I'll only be true, to this glorious quest,
That my heart will lie will lie peaceful and calm,
when I'm laid to my rest ...
And the world will be better for this:
That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach ... the unreachable star ...

Knights should always be involved in good deeds
Here is the question

Is there a knight  that is reading this thread that does not collect PNCs?
but is interested in them?

If you are such a person post your name in this thread

and one of you will be selected at random
(on 29 March 2010)
to receive one of the PNCs shown above.

No cost and I pay the postage.

so that leaves out the rest of you mob who already said you have one or bought one.  Grin

On the later  (current ) American banknotes the ink is magnetic and if you hold any of the new notes up to the light or use a UV light you can read the denomination on the security thread
This is the fastest way.

If you want to look under magnification, then I could list a half dozen ways on each note.

With the economy of the world being what it is counterfeit banknotes are abundant

I just picked up  a US $20 and a US$ 100 form local merchants.

Has anyone else run into any of these?

Nevol and I are in constant contact with John.

If he finds a copy he is going to allow us to copy (photograph, scan etc.) the book and make it a pdf for all to see for free.  At this point I will be hosting it on my site. We look for other places to host it as well.
But
We have to find a copy first.

The preceding was not a paid announcement  Cheesy

However if you give them to the "kids" you know they will take them out of the album and cards and SPEND them!

so I expect they will be in circulation within 24 hours of release  Grin Grin Grin

Australian History 1901 To 2001 As Seen Through Banknotes
has anyone purchased this expensive book and if so what are your thoughts on it.

I can only find one review - for the money It is a lot to invest in a book that is not a reference book but appears good only for coffee tables
