I'm glade to find this site. I hope it helps me with my Japanese coins. Always before I just had to ask someone on one of the forums and hope they knew what they were talking about. But to be fair I have had really good luck this way. Most people are willing to help.
I thought I posted a replay to this the other day but I don't see it. Really nice coins. Makes you just want to know where they have been. That Papua New guinea 10 toea, whats that critter on it? It kind of looks like a possum, mixed with a coon, with a little bit of cat and maybe some monky as well. Can you eat them? That Great Britan 3 pence is a really nice coin.
I was thinking you all must have photos some place. It will take me awhile to look every ones pics over. If I wanted to put photo in the gallery what would I have to do? I tryed to long in to it and could not.
I really love the old circulared coins and wish we would see more photo of them on the forum myself. Sometimes I think folks are a little intimidated by the proof and uncirculated coins. Don't get me wrong I like them also but I like the look of the circulated coins best. So if you got them, post them, I will look at them.
I see a lot of real nice shiney uncirculated coins on this forum but I wanted to know if any one else besides me ever fools with the plane old circulated coins. The ones that have been around the block a few times. Maybe they don't look so good but have a lot histoty. The ones you can hold in your hand and think just what has this coin seen in it's life.
I agree with Topher. This could be worth looking into. I almost forgot the National ibrary of Australia has at list 2 copys. I don't know if it would be possible to get them to part with them thoue.
